Dennis G. Glore Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Dennis G. Glore Memorial Scholarship Fund for Culinary and Hospitality students was established to honor the memory of Dennis G. Glore, an independent food service designer and consultant. The fund’s purpose is to provide scholarships to academically promising students attending a Hospitality Studies or Culinary Arts Program.This award is non-renewable, however past recipients are encouraged to reapply.
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- be a current college student from the St. Louis area (Missouri counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Lincoln, Warren, Franklin, Jefferson, and the City of St. Louis, and the Illinois counties of St. Clair, Madison, Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Jersey, Monroe, and Macoupin).
- be pursuing a certificate, associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Studies or Culinary Arts.
Selection for all scholarships awarded from this application
Recipients will be selected by the St. Louis Community Foundation based on the student’s commitment to, and academic preparation for, a Culinary Arts or Hospitality Studies program; the quality of the essay(s); and consideration of unusual circumstances. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please answer all questions that apply to you, even if they are not marked “required.”
Preference will be given to students who have not previously completed a Bachelor’s Degree.
Notification
Application status will be changed from submitted to either offered or denied in June. Applicants can view their status by logging in to their Scholarship Central account. Funds will be mailed to the recipients’ schools in August.
