NPFDA Scholarship

Overview The National Protein & Food Distributors Association (NPFDA) Scholarship Foundation is offering scholarship awards to employees of NPFDA member companies or their children/dependents. Each selected student will receive a $5,000 scholarship. Payments are issued directly to the recipient’s accredited college, university, or technical/trade school. Selection is conducted blind: staff remove identifying information from applications before the Selection Committee reviews them. Who is eligible - Applicants must be either an employee of an NPFDA member company or the dependent/child of such an employee. - Candidates should be enrolled full-time at a U.S.-based college, university, or technical/trade school OR be a high school senior planning to enroll. - Those pursuing undergraduate, graduate, or technical/trade school degrees may apply. - Graduate applicants must submit the Graduate School application form (available online). Required materials - Complete the online application form. - Upload a current academic transcript. - Submit a “goals and aspirations” essay; you may type it directly into the application or attach a file. Please do not use AI-assisted tools to generate the essay. - Provide one letter of recommendation from an advisor or mentor; letters from family members are not accepted. Application types - Undergraduate Application: for currently enrolled undergraduate students or high school seniors. - Graduate School Application: for students currently enrolled in, or accepted to, graduate programs. - Technical College / Trade School Application: for students enrolled in technical/trade programs or high school seniors pursuing such programs. Deadline All application materials and supporting documents must be received by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on the published deadline date to be considered.
