Benton County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Benton County Farm Bureau supports local youth pursuing higher education and encourages studies that connect to or benefit agriculture.
ELIGIBILITY
- Must be a resident of Benton County.
- Must be currently enrolled in, or accepted to enroll this year at, an accredited institution of higher education.
- Applicant must explain how their chosen field of study relates to or benefits agriculture.
REQUIREMENTS
- Pursuing a program in Agriculture, Forestry, or an agriculture-related field.
- Enrolled full time (minimum of 12 credits or units per quarter/term).
- Two letters of recommendation: one from a teacher who is not related to the applicant and one from a non-related adult.
- Completed application form. Incomplete or late submissions will be disqualified.
- Official transcript from the most recent school attended (high school or college).
- Signed application (unsigned applications will not be accepted).
APPLICATION PROCESS & DEADLINE
- All application materials must be submitted by the June deadline.
- Top candidates may be asked to participate in a personal interview.
- If a recipient does not enroll and begin attendance by January 2027, scholarship funds will not be distributed.
AWARD NOTIFICATION & EXPECTATIONS
- Scholarship recipients will be invited to attend the Benton County Farm Bureau annual meeting, held the third Wednesday in October. If a recipient cannot attend, they may provide a letter to be read at the meeting describing themselves and their academic plans.
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS
- Provided qualified applications are received, at least three scholarships will be awarded, each up to $1,000. Recipients will also receive a Farm Bureau membership.
