Amcor Technical School Scholarship Program

Scholarship Sponsored by Amcor

Value: $5,000.00
Awards Available: 20
Deadline : Feb 02, 2026

Introduction
Scholarship America — the nation’s largest designer and administrator of scholarship and educational support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals — manages this award program. Program eligibility is ultimately determined by the sponsor; Scholarship America’s evaluation team reviews eligible applications.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following to be considered for the Amcor Scholarship Program:
- Be a dependent child under age 25 as of the application deadline of a permanent, full‑time employee of Amcor Flexibles North America or a Corporate U.S. colleague at AFNA locations (NIC, Deerfield, Oshkosh South Annex). Children of employees who are deceased, disabled, or retired are also eligible. “Dependent child” means a biological, step, or legally adopted child who lives in the employee’s household or is primarily supported by the employee.
- Be a high school senior or graduate planning to enroll, or a student currently enrolled full time, in an accredited two‑ or four‑year college/university or an accredited vocational‑technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
- Note: Children of Amcor executive officers are not eligible for this scholarship.

Award amounts and renewal
- Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 for selected recipients.
- New recipients will not receive multi‑year renewable scholarships. New awardees who continue to meet eligibility requirements may submit a new application each year.
- Past recipients (those awarded in 2024 or earlier):
- Students attending two‑ or four‑year colleges/universities: awards were renewable up to three additional years (or until a bachelor’s degree is earned), contingent on satisfactory academic progress and full‑time enrollment.
- Students in vocational‑technical programs: awards were renewable once, with the possibility of one additional year if the program’s length required it. A student who completes a vocational‑technical diploma/certificate and then transfers to a four‑year college must reapply for consideration.
- Community/junior college and vocational‑technical applicants are assessed in a separate applicant pool.
- If you graduate with a diploma or certificate from a community/junior college or vocational‑technical school, you should indicate the vocational‑technical school option on your application.
- If you receive an associate degree from a community/junior college or vocational‑technical school, select the community/junior college option.
- Military service academy attendees receive a one‑time scholarship for their first year at the academy and are not eligible to reapply in subsequent years.
- Funds are designated for undergraduate study only.

Notification timeline
- Applicants will be informed of award decisions in early April. Not all applicants will receive awards; in accordance with IRS Revenue Procedure 76‑47, up to 25% of eligible applicants may be selected to receive a scholarship.
- Applicants who remain eligible may reapply annually.
- Notifications are delivered by email. Use a personal email address (not a school or employer address) when creating your account to ensure ongoing access.
- Add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org and the program’s specific email address to your safe‑sender/contact list to avoid missing communications.

Payment of scholarship funds
Scholarship America issues scholarship payments on behalf of the Amcor Cares Foundation. Payment checks, made payable to the recipient’s school, are sent in early August.

Selection process and award determination
Recipients are chosen based on:
- Academic achievement
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Work experience
- A written statement outlining educational and career goals
- Any unusual personal or family circumstances

After recipients are selected, financial information is reviewed to determine award amounts within the $1,000–$5,000 range. Applicants who do not show financial need or whose parents decline to provide the requested financial information will receive the minimum award only. Scholarship America makes final selections based on available funds from the Amcor Cares Foundation; Amcor officers and employees do not participate in recipient selection. All applicants agree that Scholarship America’s decision is final.

Required application materials
To complete your application you must upload electronically:
- A current, official transcript (grade reports are not acceptable). Transcripts must show: student name, school name, grades, and credit hours for each course and term.
- If SAT or ACT scores are not listed on your high school transcript, upload an official test score report separately. If you submit a college transcript, separate SAT/ACT scores are not required.
Your application will be considered incomplete until all required documents are uploaded.
