To support ongoing education and the next generation of skilled professionals, we established the Blue Umbrella Waterproofing & Foundations Scholarship Fund. Scholarship Overview Each year the fund grants a total of $1,500, distributed as three separate $500 awards to students who are entering or continuing their education. Who is eligible - Must be a U.S. student, age 16 or older. - Must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or vocational/trade school for the Fall of 2026 in a program related to any of the following: Accounting; Building Technology; Building Services; Business Management & Administration; Climate and Energy; Construction Management; Drafting & Design; Electrical; Engineering Technology; Entrepreneurship; Environmental; Landscape Design; Home Improvement; HVAC; Graphics Technology; Finance; Meteorology; Manufacturing; Plumbing; Renewable Energy. - High school students taking individual college classes are not eligible unless they have been formally accepted into a degree or certificate program and are awaiting enrollment for Fall 2026. - Proof of enrollment is required (official transcript or class schedule). - Applicants must complete the online application and submit both the written essay and the video. - Financial need or prior scholarship awards will not affect selection. Application requirements and instructions Step 1 — Written statement - Prepare an essay (maximum 500 words) explaining why you chose your field of study, your career goals after graduation, and your views on the value of lifelong learning. - Save the essay as a PDF and upload it with your application. Step 2 — Video summary - Produce a 1–3 minute video that summarizes the points in your essay. - Upload the video to one or more social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, etc.) and title it exactly: "Blue Umbrella Waterproofing & Foundations Scholarship - Your Name". - Provide the public link to your video in the application form. How to apply Review the eligibility criteria above and submit the completed online application with your PDF essay, video link, and proof of enrollment.
