About the Helen Gee Chin Scholarship Foundation
The Helen Gee Chin Scholarship Foundation was established in 2011 to honor the memory of Sifu Calvin Chin’s wife, who served as the Academy’s administrator for 15 years and died after a brief battle with cancer. The Foundation was created to transform a tragic loss into a lasting, positive legacy.
Purpose
The Foundation provides college scholarships designed to promote scholastic success and to encourage serious commitment to Chinese martial arts practice.

- A minimum academic standing equivalent to a “B” average
- Enrollment in an accredited U.S. four‑year college or university for the full academic year for which the scholarship is requested
