Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship

The Girard Miller Foundation funds the Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship, which offers a $10,000 award to a graduate student pursuing full-time master's studies in preparation for a career in state and local government finance. The scholarship recipient is also given the opportunity to attend the GFOA's annual conference where the award is formally presented.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. The applicant must be a full-time student in a graduate program that gears students towards careers in state and local government finance. They should also anticipate being enrolled in the spring semester of the year the scholarship is given, including those graduating in that spring semester.
2. The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
3. The applicant must be a citizen or a permanent resident of the United States or Canada.
4. The applicant must have a recommendation from their academic advisor or the dean of their graduate program.
5. The applicant must not have previously won a scholarship managed by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.
